BYD Malaysia, DENZA—the luxury intelligent electric vehicle brand under BYD—together with BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, is bringing its technology-driven customer engagement to Johor Bahru with the second leg of BYD Tech Discovery. This interactive exhibition allows the public to experience the forefront of electric mobility. Happening from 22 to 25 January 2026 at Padang (A) Akasia @ Angsana Johor Bahru Mall, the showcase marks the southern edition of BYD’s nationwide tour following its successful kickoff in Kuala Lumpur in 2025.
BYD has rapidly established itself as Malaysia’s #1 BEV brand, supported by a robust nationwide infrastructure. Since entering Malaysia, BYD’s footprint has consistently grown and currently spans over 40 outlets nationwide. With more than 27,000 proud BYD and 1,200 DENZA owners across the country, BYD Tech Discovery represents a strategic initiative to deepen public understanding and accelerate adoption of intelligent, sustainable mobility.
Johor state government aims to grow its EV fleet to 15,840 by 2030[1]. This ambitious target, backed by the expansion of charging infrastructure, makes BYD Tech Discovery the ideal platform for Malaysians of all ages to explore and immerse themselves in the possibilities of EV innovation.

• The Driver’s Seat Experience: Customers can choose any latest BYD and DENZA models for test drives, including reverse parking and speed bump exercises showcasing real-world usability across all models, as well as 360-degree rotation and crabwalk demonstrations including DMO Technology (test rides only).
• Technology Deep Dives: Interactive stations with technical experts explaining Blade Battery, e-Platform 3.0, and BYD’s intelligent systems.
